Q: How old can my phone be before I can buy the PPRA?
A: It does not matter how old your phone is, as long as it is in a good working condition, you can buy a PPRA.
Q: Do I need to buy my mobile phone from phoneport or any of her representatives before I can get the PPRA?
A: No, you can buy your mobile phone from anywhere and still get your PPRA.
Q: How long does it take to repair my mobile phone under the PPRA?
A: This depends on the nature of the damage/model of your mobile phone; most phones are repaired within two (2) business days.
Q: What malfunctions or damages are not covered by my PPRA?
A: Units demonstrating extreme physical or liquid damage may be considered damage beyond repair and as such will not be covered by PPRA.
Q: In case of a non-repairable damage, theft or loss of my mobile phone, what happens to my PPRA?
A: Your PPRA is transferable to any other phone you have purchased, OLD or NEW and it is valid up until the original expiry date.
Q: What if I urgently need to repair my phone and have not purchased a PPRA?
A: PhonePort operates a well equipped service center for off-the-shelf repair services. You can call/walk into our service center and have your phone repaired. You also get a 30 DAY WARRANTY on most repairs.
Q: Can I get a loaner phone while my phone is being repaired?
A: PhonePort Service Center attempts to repair your mobile phone as quickly as possible. However you can get a loaner phone under our PhonePort Loaner Phone Scheme, for a nominal fee.
Q: How much does the PPRA Cost?
A: PhonePort Repair Assurance(PPRA) is available in 3 different ranges:
- N1,500 for all non-camera phones
- N2,500 for all camera mobile phones
- N4,000 for all new generation mobile phones e.g. 2.5G, 3G or PDA phones.
